My school experience

I am now on 10th grade and going to my last year on this school I'm currently on. 10th grade is twice harder than 9th grade. It will feel all your homework had been doubled and all the efforts you have to make will consumes a lot of time. At 9th grade students don't get a proper exam, but just a mock exam. However in 10th grade, you get everything, both exam and mock exams. Most of us are working our butts off to prepare for the exam. I think it is normal to think that exams will be alot harder than mock exams.

How the exam work here on my school is that teachers will have a certain box that contains papers with seven different subjects. The one they pull is the one you get. This one is called oral exam, however in written exam there are just three subjects. Norwegian, english and math. English is one of my best subjects and I hope I will get it both in oral and written exam.

My easter holiday

My easter holiday was kind of boring. I was planning to train my condition in running during my easter, however out of nowhere I was sick the next day. I was stuck on my bed for four days, although I was stuck at home, I received som visitors. My parents relatives came to visit to our house and we all had dinner together. It was a cozy feeling having a dinner with so many people at the table.

All the candies and sweets was very cheap during easter holiday. Many of my classmate ate alot of them, although they were cheaps I resist myself from eating them. Yes, they might have taste good, but I just dont feel right eating any sweets while I'm trying to train myself.

Yes, I was sick, but that doesn't mean I can't do anything. I watched some films, facts and some documentaries online while I was sick. Learning something new everyday is something I must do.

Goodbye Bafana short summary

Goodbye Bafana

Main characters: James Gregory & Nelson Mandela

Summary: Goodbye Bafana is a true story about a man named Nelson Mandela and James Gregory. The story started when James Gregory was moved to a prison island called Robben Island. When he arrived, he received a notification that he would be in charge of the prisoner Nelson Mandela.
James Gregory could speak their language, so the higher ups thought he would be the best man suited for the job. He was in charge of checking on Nelson Mandela every day and checking the letters that the prisoners will receive.

As he got in charge of Nelson Mandela, he was getting closer and closer to him. James Gregory started to ask questions that were prohibited. A word spread quickly that James Gregory and her wife Gloria Gregory were kaffir lovers. James hated this word because it would make her wife sad. Because of this James asked the higher ups for resignation. The government denied his resignation a couple of times, but after a while they gave up. They assigned James Gregory into a new prison cell. Some years after Nelson Mandela was moved there aswell, because the government were afraid that there would be a blood bath on Robben Island.

More years passes by and James Gregory started to see on the apartheid in a very different way. He would question himself about apartheid. How things would continue and how it would be like living together with the black people. James Gregory understood that Nelson Mandela only wanted peace together with the white people. As Gregory got deeper on to things he decided to help Nelson Mandela to get out of prison.

Apartheid - The word apartheid or, segregation sometimes it called means seperation in African language. Apartheid was a big issue in South Africa. All the races that lived in South Africa was divided into four different categories. The white, the black, coloured and the mixed races. Each races had their own toilets, schools and hospitals. They were prohibited to have a sexual interraction with each others, if so they can be sentence to jail. As a result of Apartheid, kids that were innocent was force to be born racist. The white hated black people that even just look of them makes them irritated. Racism increased and black people that live in South Africa were treated badly by the government, however the black people didn’t give up because of this. They still fought for their rights and in the end the black people manage to stop the Apartheid. Nelson Mandela that was the first black president of South Africa was a very great man for everyone in South Africa. He was a hero and a very admirable man.

My opinions: For me the film was great.  I learned about some history and facts about South Africa. The movie was pretty sad, but it had a happy ending. I hope there would be more people like James Gregory who have the will to help black people like Nelson Mandela who are trying to work for the people of the country. I admire Nelson Mandela for having a strong will and managing to stop the apartheid. Sitting in prison for 27 years would drive me mad, it was very interesting about how he manage to stop it and it was very admirable. I hope the name Nelson Mandela will be remembered for more years to come.

I would give the movie a dice roll of 4/6, but if the movie had been longer I would definitely give it a 5/6.
